NAVASOTA ISD NOW HAS SOME ARMED FACULTY MEMBERS ON CAMPUS

According to a story on the KBTX website, on Monday the Navasota Independent School District started the fall semester with trained armed faculty on the school grounds. They call it the “Guardian Policy.”

The article passes along that the number of armed faculty members has not been released, but those carrying guns have a concealed carry license, had a score of at least 90 on a gun range test, were in a training course for three days and underwent a psychological evaluation.

Also, some of their schools are being remodeled to put in more locks and security cameras at entrances.
