Steve Everett, General Manager of KSAM-FM & KHVL THE HITS, announces the local radio stations are expanding their coverage area with THE HITS. Everett said construction is underway on the new 94.1 THE HITS, which will expand the music from the ’60’s, 70’s, ’80’s, and early 90’s into the Willis, Lake Conroe and Conroe area.
The new radio signal will cover approximately 100,000 listeners in the area south of Huntsville. Everett said 94.1 THE HITS will be actively involved in the area around Willis and Conroe. Negotiations are in the works with Willis ISD for 94.1 to be the broadcast home of the Willis Wildcats on Friday nights.
The new radio station should be on the air in a week to ten days. Everett pointed out this new expansion will in now way interrupt the long-standing stations of KSAM-FM OR KHVL THE HITS.
101.7 KSAM has served this area since August, 1965 while KHVL has been on the air since November 1938. The new 94.1 radio station will enhance the stations listening area, which is worldwide with their streaming services on all stations.
