Budget Bill Passed in House & Senate

In a vote that was implemented shortly after midnight, the Senate voted and approved a $1.3 trillion omnibus spending bill which prevents a government shutdown. This will keep the government funded through the end of September. The House version passed Thursday with a vote of 256-167. The Senate passed it 65-32. The bill increases military and domestic program spending and exceeds budget caps. It will add around $1 trillion dollars to our country’s national debt.
