GOVERNOR ABBOTT PROCLAIMS JANUARY HUMAN TRAFFICKING PREVENTION MONTH

Governor Abbott has proclaimed this month as Human Trafficking Prevention Month in Texas. In addition to issuing this proclamation, Governor Abbott encouraged all Texans to learn more about the risks and indicators of human trafficking and to do their part to help end these horrific crimes.

The Governor’s Child Sex Trafficking Team (CSTT) is working to build sustainable capacity, enhance expertise, promote policies, and create new and leverage existing collaborations to end these crimes and help its young victims. In the past three months, CSTT has awarded over $26 million to programs that prevent child exploitation, identify and serve victims and investigate and prosecute exploiters.
