HEH COMMUNICATIONS NAMES BEARKAT FOOTBALL BROADCAST TEAM FOR 2019 SEASON

HEH Communications, in accordance with their Sam Houston State University broadcast contract, announces their new 2019 Bearkat football broadcast team; Rob Hipp, Brian Adams, and Dave Fanucchi.

Steve Everett General Manager of HEH Communications said, “KSAM-FM is extremely proud of the decades-long relationship with Sam Houston State University.  It has been our privilege to broadcast conference championships and national championship appearances over the years.  The future of Sam Houston State Athletics is incredibly bright, and yet to be written, but the stories of Bearkat glory will be told by Rob Hipp, Brian Adams, and Dave Fanucchi.”

Rob Hipp has worked several years for an Austin-based broadcasting company covering local prep sports.  In 2014, he co-founded his own sports broadcasting business, SHN Sports.  When listening to Rob’s broadcasts, it is easy to identify that he has a unique talent, undeniable passion, and a clear, professional voice that paints a picture for the audience in every game.  His broadcast experience includes Southwestern University, Georgetown Eagles, Austin Spurs (NBA G-League), St. Edward’s among others.  He also enjoys public speaking and delivers messages of hope, encouragement, and motivation to schools and organizations.

Brian Adams returns for his fourth year in the booth for KSAM-FM for the Huntsville Hornets and Sam Houston State University Bearkats.  A Huntsville native, he set two school passing records for the Huntsville Hornets with five touchdowns in one game and the single-season passing record his senior year.   He helped Huntsville compile a record of 29-4 and claim District and Bi-District championships in 1984 and 1985.  He was Honorable Mention All State in 1985.  He continued his athletic career at SHSU where he became a 4th-generation Bearkat.  Brian competed for Sam Houston for three years as quarterback until his football career was cut short due to multiple concussions.  He has that burning desire to analyze the game in a way that will bring excitement and understanding to Bearkat fans.

Dave Fanucchi will serve as sideline reporter at Bearkat home games as well as the Battle of the Pineywoods.  Dave has provided sports coverage of high school athletic competitions throughout the Greater Houston Metro area since 2012, producing and airing live broadcasts for the Texas Sports Radio Network at TSRNSports.com. Fanucchi also serves as a sports social media correspondent for the Houston Chronicle and VYPE Media. Fanucchi is the Journalism teacher at M.L. Wisdom High School in Houston ISD.

The season starts August 31 when the Bearkats travel to Albuquerque to take on New Mexico.  Tune into KSAM 101.7 FM or online ksam1017.com to catch the excitement!
