THE ARIZONA WILDCATS SHOWED WHY THEY ARE ONE OF THE TOP OFFENSES IN THE NATION, SCORING 30 RUNS IN YESTERDAY’S DOUBLE-HEADER AGAINST SAM HOUSTON STATE, BEATING THE BEARKATS IN GAME ONE, 14-7 AND 16-2 IN GAME TWO.  THE BEARKATS NOW RETURN HOME FOR THEIR FINAL WEEKEND OF THE REGULAR SEASON, BEGINNING THURSDAY NIGHT IN THE SERIES OPENER VS. NORTHWESTERN STATE.

IN COLLEGIATE GOLF, THE BEARKATS WRAPPED UP THE FIRST DAY OF THE NCAA REGIONAL IN AUSTIN SITTING IN 11TH PLACE AFTER SHOOTING AN OPENING ROUND 303, 19-OVER PAR. ROUND TWO TEES OFF AT 8:55 THIS MORNING WITH THE BEARKATS TEAMING UP WITH IOWA AND ST. MARY’S

BROTHERS SETH CURRY AND STEPHEN CURRY ARE SET TO FACE OFF AGAINST EACH OTHER IN THE WESTERN CONFERENCE FINALS.  SETH’S TRAIL BLAZERS WILL TAKE ON STEPHEN’S GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS IN GAME 1 OF THE WESTERN CONFERENCE FINALS ON TUESDAY.  PER ELIAS SPORTS BUREAU RESEARCH, THE GAME WILL MARK THE FIRST TIME IN NBA HISTORY THAT TWO BROTHERS WILL GO UP AGAINST EACH OTHER IN A CONFERENCE FINALS.
