TORNADOES CAUSE DAMAGE AND TAKE LIVES IN SOUTHEAST TEXAS

There was a lot of damage and some fatalities from the weather over the weekend in Southeast Texas.

In Houston County, the National Weather service confirmed 3 tornadoes touched down during Saturday’s storm.

On Saturday, a tornado warning was issued for Houston and Trinity Counties around 1:30 in the afternoon.

On the same day, an 8-year-old and 3-year-old in Angelina County were killed when a tree fell on the car they were in.

At least 25 people suffered injuries in the Caddo Mounds State Historic Site in Cherokee County.

The National Weather Service reported an EF-3 tornado with winds up to 140 miles per hour in Franklin, Texas. About a dozen people were reported to have suffered injuries.

Also last Saturday, the National Weather Service issued a tornado warning for Western Walker County around 12:15 PM.
