Rodeo Winners

A large over flow crowd gathered in the Walker County Fair Grounds rodeo arena to watch the 2019 rodeo.  When the dust settled cowboys took home portions of the $77,282 payoff.
Clayton Eggers was named All-around cowboy with his entries in the tie-down roping and team roping events.
Bareback riding: 1. Hunter Carter, 83 points, $1,166,  Steer wrestling: 1. Jule Hazen, 3.5 seconds, $2,638; Team roping: 1. Brett Stuart/Clay Futrell, 4.5 seconds, $1,838 each,  Saddle bronc riding: 1. Brody Cress, 84.5 points, $1,070;  Tie-down roping: 1. Justin Smith, 7.8 seconds, $2,832, Barrel racing: 1. Sarah McCormick, 17.19 seconds, $1,986; Steer roping: First round: 1. Trenton Johnson, 11.5 seconds, $1,084, Second round: 1. Tuf Cooper, 11.4 seconds, $1,084, Third round: 1. Cole Patterson, 11.4 seconds, $1,084, Average: 1. Tuf Cooper, 36.2 seconds on three head, $1,627, Bull riding: 1. Mavrick Potter, 85 points, $1,132
The Walker County Fair continues this week.  The annual premium sale will be Thursday evening in the Main Building and events wrap up with the BBA cook-off Friday and Saturday.
