Walker County Commissioners’ Court meets for a “Special Session” this afternoon at 1:30.
Planning & Development Director Andy Isbell will discuss possible action on a variance to a section of the Walker County Subdivision Regulations to allow the transfer of a lot previously excepted to an individual who is not related to the owner within a certain degree. Mr. Isbell will discuss possible acceptance of the roads and associated infrastructure in Section 1 of the Sterling Ridge Subdivision into County maintenance.
Commissioner Daugette will talk about issuing a Notice to Proceed to Solid Bridge Construction for the construction of the Plantation Culvert project pending issuance of Nationwide Permit 14 compliance from the Army Corps of Engineers. It’s to be funded by budgeted funds and reimbursed by FEMA. Mr. Daugette will also look at taking action on payment in advance of delivery to Texas Road and Bridge in the amount of $35,500 for the purchase of 100 tons of road stabilizer. Paying in advance will save about $8,500.
County Judge Danny Pierce will discuss possible action on a request from the Samuel Walker Houston Museum and Cultural Center to waive 2019 taxes.
Sonja Tennant will give an update on the Mock Commissioners Court.
