This past week, one of our Senators from Texas, Ted Cruz, addressed the American Enterprise Institute on American Foreign Policy.
One of the more interesting takeaways from his talk was when at one point he told how the strength of one sentence, “Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall,” said by President Ronald Reagan at the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin in June of 1987, although he was advised not to say it, accomplished more than any intervention or negotiation connected to American foreign policy . . . .
