During the Texas State University System Board of Regents quarterly meeting in Austin, TX on Feb. 7-8. Several items were approved for Sam Houston State University: Here are some of the items they approved:

A graduate certificate in Health Care Quality & Safety, in the Department of Population Health.
A graduate certificate in Special Education Transition Services, in the School of Teaching and Learning.
A degree program addition in Bachelor of Business Administration in Supply Chain Management, in the Department of Management, Marketing and Information Systems.

In Planning and Construction:
The ratification for Bowers Boulevard utilities and Town Creek drainage project. The plan converts the project to Capital Project status and increases the total project cost from $3,900,000 to $4,359,137.
The addition to the TSUS Capital Improvements Program to include a new beach volleyball and tennis complex for SHSU.
The addition to the TSUS Capital Improvements Program to include an equestrian facility for SHSU. The facility will be relocated from the current location to Gibbs Ranch. The project will include a new classroom building, horse stalls and site improvements. The estimated total project cost is $5,000,000 and will be funded by HEF and gifts.
