THE WINNING CONTINUED TUESDAY FOR THE DISTRICT CHAMPION HUNTSVILLE HORNETS & LADY HORNETS BASKETBALL TEAMS. THE HUNTSVILLE GIRLS – DISTRICT 20-5A CHAMPS – COMPLETED THEIR REGULAR-SEASON SCHEDULE AT PAUL BOHAN HORNET GYM WITH A VICTORY OVER KINGWOOD PARK. THE LADY HORNETS FINISHED THE DISTRICT SEASON WITH A PERFECT RECORD, AND NOW BEGIN PREPARATIONS FOR NEXT WEEK’S 1ST ROUND OF THE STATE PLAYOFFS.

THE HORNET BOYS ARE ALSO HEAD TO THE PLAYOFFS – AND HAVE ALREADY CLINCHED THE 20-5A TITLE. THE HORNETS REMAINED UNDEFEATED IN DISTRICT ON TUESDAY WITH A CLOSER-THAN-EXPECTED 53-49 ROAD VICTORY AT KINGWOOD PARK. NEXT ACTION FOR THE HORNET BOYS IS SET FOR FRIDAY AT TOMBALL.

IN COLLEGIATE BASKETBALL, THE SHSU BEARKATS WILL LOOK TO KEEP THEIR SOUTHLAND CONFERENCE RECORD PERFECT TODAY WHEN THEY HOST THE McNEESE STATE COWBOYS IN A 6:30PM TIPOFF AT JOHNSON COLISEUM. THE KATS ARE 9-&-0 IN CONFERENCE PLAY.

IN THE NBA TODAY, THE DALLAS MAVERICKS WILL HOST CHARLOTTE AT 7:30PM ON FOX SPORTS SOUTHWEST, WHILE THE HOUSTON ROCKETS WILL VISIT THE SACRAMENTO KINGS AT 9PM ON AT&T SPORTSNET SOUTHWEST.
